Reuniting Families in Australia: Our Expert Migration Services

Your family is your priority. At GlobalNest Study Solution, we understand that navigating the Australian immigration system to bring your loved ones together is one of the most important journeys you will ever take. The process is complex, the stakes are high, and the waiting periods can be long.

Our agency provides expert, compassionate, and strategic guidance across all streams of Australian family migration. We are not just education specialists; we are dedicated migration experts committed to reuniting you with your partners, parents, and children.

Our Family Migration Services

We handle all categories of family visas, each with its own specific and demanding criteria.

1. Partner & Spouse Visas (Subclass 820/801, 309/100, 300)

This is the most common family visa, allowing Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to sponsor their spouse, de facto partner, or fiancé(e). This pathway is notoriously complex and evidence-heavy.

Our dedicated Partner Visa service includes:

  • A complete strategy to prove your relationship is “genuine and continuing.”
  • Expert guidance on assembling your financial, social, and household evidence.
  • Management of both the temporary (820/309) and permanent (801/100) visa stages.

For a complete overview of this service, please see our dedicated [Partner Visa Service Page]. (This links to the page we just created).

2. Parent Visas (Bringing Your Parents to Australia)

Sponsoring your parents to join you in Australia requires long-term planning. The main challenge is navigating the long processing times and significant costs, as well as the strict eligibility rules.

  • Key Challenge: All parent visas require you to meet the “Balance of Family Test,” which proves that at least half of your children live permanently in Australia.
  • Our Expertise: We help you choose the right pathway:
    • Contributory Parent Visas (Subclass 143, 173): A much faster (but more expensive) option that requires a significant financial “contribution.”
    • Non-Contributory Parent Visas (Subclass 103, 804): A low-cost option, but with an extremely long waiting period (often 25-30 years).
    • Temporary Parent Visas (Subclass 870): A temporary visa that allows parents to stay for 3 or 5 years at a time.

We will provide an honest, long-term financial and timeline assessment to help your family make the best decision.

3. Child Visas (Subclass 101, 802, 445)

These visas allow a child to come to or remain in Australia to live with their parents. The correct visa depends on the child’s location and the parent’s visa status.

  • Child Visa (Subclass 101/802): For children of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
  • Dependent Child Visa (Subclass 445): This visa is a crucial “bridge” for children whose parent holds a temporary Partner Visa (820/309) and is waiting for their permanent visa.

Our team handles these sensitive applications with care, ensuring all legal requirements of parent-child relationships and dependency are met.

4. Other Family Visas (Remaining Relative & Carer)

We also manage niche, high-threshold family visas:

  • Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 115/835): For individuals whose only near relatives are all living in Australia.
  • Carer Visa (Subclass 116/836): For individuals who need to move to Australia to provide ongoing care for a relative with a long-term medical condition.

These visas have extremely specific criteria, and we can provide a realistic assessment of your eligibility.

Frequently asked Questions

We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions our clients ask. If you don’t find your answer here, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.

  • What is the difference between a "Contributory" and "Non-Contributory" Parent Visa?

This is the most important decision for sponsoring parents. Non-Contributory (Subclass 103): This visa has a very low application fee. However, the waiting list is currently estimated to be up to 30 years long. Contributory (Subclass 143): This visa has a much shorter processing time (a few years). However, it requires a very significant "contribution" fee payable to the government, which runs into tens of thousands of dollars per parent.

  • 2. What is the "Balance of Family Test" for Parent Visas?

This is a mandatory legal test that you must pass to sponsor your parents. To pass, the parent (the visa applicant) must have: At least half of their children are living permanently in Australia, OR More of their children are living permanently in Australia than in any other single country. This test is strictly applied and is a common reason for ineligibility. We can assess your family tree and advise you on your eligibility before you lodge an application.
